Considérant que la Professeur Jean
BRACHET a contribué brillament au développement et à l'essor d'une
branche nouvelle et importante de la biologie, l'embryologie
expérimentale et chimique,
Considérant qu'il a été parmi le
petit groupe international de chercheurs qui ont posé les problèmes de
la morphogenèse sur le plan moléculaire en dépit des idées courantes et
qu'il a toujours concentré son attention sur des questions de science
fondamentale,
décide de conférer le Prix Francqui
1948 à Monsieur le Professeur Jean BRACHET.
