Considérant que Monsieur Christian
de Duve, Professeur à l'Université Catholique de Louvain, a apporté une
contribution d'importance fondamentale à la connaissance du métabolisme
des hydrates de carbone et à la distribution spatiale des enzymes dans
la cellule,
considérant l'originalité de ses
travaux, lesquels sont universellement appréciés et contribuent
incontestablement à augmenter le prestige scientifique de la Belgique,
décide de conférer le Prix Francqui
1960 à Monsieur le Professeur Christiant de Duve.
