précision, le rigueur et l'esprit critique qu'il a développé dans ses
travaux, notamment dans le domaine de l'histoire des institutions
flamandes, de l'histoire médiévale en général, de l'histoire du droit
anglais et du droit savant au Moyen Age, de la connaissance comparative
du droit européen,
considérant le rayonnement de ses
recherches tant en Belgique qu'à l'étranger,
