Report of the Jury (May 12, 1933)

Considérant que par la maîtrise dans l'assimilation de la matière et dans l'interprétation des sources, par l'acuité et la justesse de l'intuition historique, par le souci constant de l'objectivité, par la sérénité u jugement, par la solidité et l'harmonie de la synthèse, par la clarté et l'élégance de l'exposition,

le tome VII de l'Histoire de Belgique de Monsieur le Professeur Henri PIRENNE, couronnant l'oeuvre antérieure du Maître, a récemment apporté à la science une contribution importante qui a augmenté le prestige international de la Belgique,

décide de conférer le Prix Francqui 1933 à Monsieur le Professeur Henri PIRENNE.
