Considérant que les travaux du
Professeur Pierre NOLF sur le mécanisme de la coagulation du sang, et
plus généralement sur l'équilibre physico-chimique des humeurs, travaux
dont les conclusions ont reçu de nombreuses confirmations et
applications récentes, agissent encore actuellement en raison de
l'originalité et de la vaste portée des conceptions qui s'en dégagent,
comme un véritable ferment de l'investigation scientifique,
considérant que par ses recherches
expérimentales sur l'agencement structural du système nerveux autonome
gastro-entérique, ses relations avec le système nerveux central et ses
propriétés fonctionnelles, l'éminent Professeur a apporté récemment
encore à la Science une contribution importante, dont la valeur a
augmenté le prestige de la Belgique,
décide de conférer le Prix Francqui
1940 à Monsieur le Professeur Pierre NOLFT.
