Considérant que par l'importance et
l'originalité de son oeuvre scientifique, principalement dans le domaine
de la fonction respiratoire du sans et du métabolisme azoté,
par les vues générales qu'il a su
exposer avec talent dans un essai de synthèse de biochimie comparée,
Monsieur le Professeur Marcel
FLORKIN s'est acquis une autorité internationale et a notablement
contribué à rehausser le prestige de la Belgique à l'étranger,
décide de conférer le Prix Francqui
1946 à Monsieur le Professeur Marcel FLORKIN.
