Considérant que Monsieur Hubert CHANTRENNE a apporté une contribution d'importance fondamentale à la connaissance du rôle des acides ribonucléiques dans la biosynthèse des protéines,

considérant l'originalité de ses travaux, lesquels sont universellement appréciés en contribuent incontestablement à augmenter le prestige scientifique de la Belgique,

décide de conférer le Prix Francqui 1963 à Monsieur Hubert CHANTRENNE, Professeur à l'Université Libre de Bruxelles.
