Considering
that Thierry BOON discovered a category of tumoral antigens and
specified their nature;
considering
that this work with open a completely new way allowing the antigenic
peptide identification which plays a central role in the answer
immunizing in cells T cytotoxic in the cases of cancer;
considering that this work probably has important implications in other
pathological processes or not;
decide to award the Francqui Prize 1990 to Mr Thierry BOON, Professor at
the Université Catholique de Louvain
